Dear twitter, thanks for letting me vent. I think I was starting to work on an ulcer.
Obviously my version of 'just makes sense' seems to skew away from that of most of my contemporaries.
What I usually disagree with people on is 'just those that make sense'.
I'm not saying to put all variables in a database and look them up. Just the ones that make sense.
My general gripe is when the code is difficult to deploy to all intended targets, but the data is easy to modify.
That's a serious question. I don't get it and would like to understand the other viewpoint.
Why release code when updating a row in a database is SO MUCH EASIER? and you get the side benefit of an abstraction?
